Mixed Media photo layout - for my photo wall

Hello 👋

Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend 😊

I wanted to introduce you to my current passion slowly but O can’t stop myself from showing this one off. After many many tries, I finally have a mixed media picture layout that I feel satisfied about (ummm..mostly).

I created this one for my personal photo wall. Will put it in a black frame shadow box for hanging.

I have used loads of Prima products- base, opal magic colours, texture paste, flowers, fussy cut elements from the same Prima collection. You would also find Dusty Attic chipboard and stencils in there.

I personally love it. 😍 Enjoy some closeup pictures here.

What happens when you keep creating?

Hello everyone 😊

Hope you have been doing well this past month!

Today I would like to show you some of my Quilling projects to show the kind of progress one artist can make when they keep creating and practicing. Some random facebook suggestions introduced me to Quilling and I couldn't believe that someone could make something so beautiful by rolling paper.

The moment I saw this picture, I was hooked on to this craft. I started looking for tutorials and used to spend hours and hours on learning various shapes. After viewing heaps of videos I finally gathered the courage to spend some money on products and actually create something.

When you look at these you would definitely think ... what is so special about it? But for me, every piece was as special as the last one because it used to give me a satisfaction and helped me through a difficult phase of post-partum depression.

So here are some examples. You will see a huge difference in the first and the last one. But please remember, you will improve only by creating and not by giving up.

Have fun and keep creating 🤗

Who am I?

Hello Dear Readers,

Today is the day I start my journey in the blogging world once again and hope that this time I will stick to it. (Yeah...I had tried it in the past but could publish once in 6 months only!!)
I am hoping to be more organised this time.
So - Who am I?
I am a full time IT consultant, a wife, a mum to 7 year old boy and a craft enthusiast who lives in Melbourne, Australia and barely manages to complete her daily/weekly chores. I am sure you would be able to empathize with me. :)
I work full time because that is whats pays the bills and lets me indulge in such a high maintenance hobby. Switching between the logical world and crafty world keeps both the sides of my brain exercised.

I started by crafting journey with Quilling and then moved on to mixed media and foamiran. Tried scrapbooking but the frequent measurements bored me.
In the next few posts, I will share some of the work done. Please note, I am a master of none and jack of all trades. I have a long way to go and would love to share my learning journey with you all.

Hope to see you all soon! :)

Ciao
